The TNC series product is a threaded alternative to the BNC connector, distinguished by its screw-thread connection mechanism. These compact, threaded, and waterproof units ensure a stable 50-ohm impedance and operate within the DC-11 GHz frequency range. There are two primary types of TNC connectors: standard and reverse polarity. Usually manufactured from die-cast and molded components, these cost-effective connectors are suitable for various commercial applications. Despite their performance not reaching that of industrial or high-performance products, they are frequently used for antenna connections and have numerous applications in radar, wireless communication, and general industrial fields. Additionally, reverse polarity and 75-ohm variants of the TNC connector are also available.
