SMP RF Connector Introduction
The SMP interface is a subminiature connector that matches the size
of MMCX connectors but extends its operational range to a broad
frequency span from DC to 40GHz. The SMP interconnect series
utilizes floating female-to-female adapters, often referred to as
bullets, enabling the stacking of boards fitted with SMP male PCB
connectors. This robust construction, coupled with its capacity to
accommodate both radial and axial misalignments, facilitates blind
mating interconnections. As such, it is widely utilized in
miniaturized high-frequency coaxial modules where compact design
and high-frequency performance are crucial.
