    ASMP is an innovative blind mate RF connector that shares the same structure and application method as SMP. It has an outline dimension that is approximately 22% larger than SMP, and it offers a transmitted power that is substantially higher by about 30% to 50%. It is highly compatible with board-to-board connections, modular dense packaging, and situations requiring high power. The male SMP connector features two interface forms - full detent and smooth bore, while the female connector has only one interface, which can be mated with any type of male connector.


    Features

    1. Size: The outer dimensions of ASMP are approximately 22% larger than SMP (SubMiniature version of the PSM), providing more space for the inner conductor and insulator, which may allow for higher power transmission.

    2. Power Capacity: ASMP can handle about 30% to 50% more power than SMP, making it suitable for applications requiring higher power levels.

    3. Construction and Method of Use: The structure and method of use of ASMP are the same as SMP, maintaining the push-on connection method for user convenience in upgrading from SMP to ASMP applications.

    4. Suitable Occasions: ASMP is well-suited for board-to-board connections, modular dense mounting, and environments with high power requirements.

    5. Interface Forms: The ASMP male (plug) has two interface forms—full detent and smooth bore. The full detent provides an audible click to confirm proper connection, while the smooth bore has no protrusions, allowing for smaller pin insertions.
